Definitely want to come back to try their brunchPrefix dinner was good and gave a variety of choices. It was 21 years ago I visited first time and it was tremendous that time as well. Freshly made and well seasoned. A disgrace to Turkish cuisine. The restaurant was really classy and the only thing I can critique is the waitress leaving us unattended for so long after eating when we wanted the check. I like a falafel that is more coarse than reconstituted cookie cutter variety. If this was in a food barren area, I'd probably maintain my old rating but not around here with so many Turkish gems.Went here for lunch with one other. The relaxing atmosphere after a hectic morning at work was what I was looking dor. My recommendation is to order the lamb shank to go.I don't frequent Turkish places, but when I do I usually enjoy it.I went to Sunday brunch  , servers guarding the buffet and giving one piece of everything . !Realistically...3.5 stars. I would prefer more seafood options on the menu as the menu is limited in that respect which may reflect Turkish cuisine, but the salads and appetizers are great. The food is very good and service is attentive. If ask more looking and digging  for smallest piece give to you. I believe that the check issue was a cultural expectation from my experience so this experience still remains five stars.First timer to this restaurant but I know a good Turkish dish and this place Is definitely not IT. The bread selections is abundant. We called ahead to make reservation for a group of 4 but were told to just walk in. Tasty food and pleasant service. I am glad I did.

"Hands down one of the best dining experiences I've had in NYC. Once seated they told us we have 10 minutes until the kitchen closes. Love the Shepard's salad, lamb chops, hummus and the turkish sweets are YUM!!! The space also feels very festive and cozy. I loooooove this wine, I always get a bottle when I go out for Ethiopian. Skip the heavy yogurt salad. I am so glad we chose that route since we got to taste more than one dish. No Turkish person works here.

Meats are very flavorful and authentic. Went with a group of four and we each got a second glass. Everything my table ordered was amazing along with the almond pudding and baklava desserts.

I think they have a great location and the two floor restaurant is a nice touch but the decorations could be enhanced. We arrived 30 minutes early and were seated immediately, which was a plus.

It is literally drenched in tahini sauce with shreds of cucumerI have passed this place several time and always wanted to try it since it looks so inviting. But onto the Lamb shank! From the outside, place looked nice-inside was just as pretty with different types of decorations and patterns.Turkish Kitchen located on 3rd Ave serves good food. I would definitely recommend this place for a moderately-priced Turkish meal.I am not the biggest fan of Turkish food, but after coming here I might have changed my mind.

There's a table with all sorts of colorful salads and another with hot fares (grilled meats/rice).

It saddens me to dine at this Americanized restaurant. So sad-what was once one of the best and most reasonably priced restaurants in the area is now a limited imitation of what  a Turkish restaurant  should be and what this restaurant was up until recently.Have held off reviewing this restaurant because I did not want to share it with the world as its prix fixe dinner and Sunday brunch are among the best deals in the City. What a disappointment the restaurant has cut its menu in half -all my favorite dishes are gone. I was in Berkeley and decided to have dinner there since I was already in the area. The Turkish coffee and dessert were a nice touch. Can accept price increases-I get it.
