From St marthas there is also the downs link which ends up down at the coast near Choreham, thats 40 odd miles but pretty flat as its a old railway line route. I think it is ouright irresponsible to call it a cycling path.

St Martha’s Hill is well worth the climb, once you reach the summit you’ll discover St Martha’s Church a listed grade II Historic building.

It was very handy for my Woking base and so I walked it in April 2017 and recommend it. In the wet, it can be a bit muddy in places, but nothing too onerous.

Again, in the dry, this is a beautiful ride.

First (heading South) is a short climb and lovely sweeping descent through a wood. You then follow the North Downs Way to the high point and the 19th century church of St Martha's.

The path continues past the famous beauty sport of Newlands Corner and then continues through Woodland to Hackhurst Downs where there is a path into the pretty village of Gomshall.

I'm planning on taking my kids along there on Monday (1 year old on the back of my bike; four others from 11 to 14); probably park up at East Grinstead and ride to Shoreham and back.
