The pistol is a SAA in .41 rimfire. Found lots of "Derringers", assorted pocket pistols, and the Colt New Line produced in  .41 rimfire "short" and "long" Still works ! It came to my friend with the family story that said it belonged to a relative that was a Sheriff  "back in the day ". But it would be .44.
