This short two mile climb to the ridge that divides the view of Albuquerque and Placitas tops out at a rocky outcrop that provides simply stellar views of the city and to the other side Placitas and onward towards Northern New Mexico. The trail continues all the way to the small town of Placitas about a 5 1/2 mile trek from the ridge where we left it to climb the tors. That morning we began our hike at the South end of the Piedra Lisa Trail about a mile from Tramway Blvd. Beautiful sunny day with the perfect amount of shade.
